Hospitality has been part of my life from the very beginning. My father started our family’s journey in hospitality by working on hotels and motels throughout New York and New Jersey, and I grew up alongside that world. Starting around age 11, I would sit beside him during loan discussions and transactions, learning how hotel ownership, financing, and operations all worked together. As I got older, I helped with the technical and business side of things, including marketing, creating contracts, assisting with property upkeep, and helping maintain financial records.
That experience is why I feel especially connected to hospitality financing today. I understand firsthand that a hotel or motel is not just real estate being bought or sold, it is a business, a service, and a temporary home for guests. It involves customer experience, daily operations, breakfast service, community presence, maintenance, staffing, and the overall reputation of the property. Having seen these moving parts operate together, I bring a more complete and personal understanding of hospitality properties to the financing side of the business.
